Marina Vallarta Golf Club, each year hosts the International Pro AM; one of the largest Pro Am in the world each December.

First One

Opened in April 2001 at Vista Vallarta is a signature design by Jack Nicklaus. Since this course is located on the property’s highest elevation, golfers are treated not only to world-class golf, but will enjoy breathtaking views of Puerto Vallarta, the Marina and Banderas Bay as well.

The 7,057-yard, par 72 Jack Nicklaus signature course features gently sloping hillsides, dense forests of palms giant Ficus trees, natural creeks and arroyos. The course was home to the 2002 EMC World Cup and the 2006 Blue Agave Champions Classic, golfers are treated not only to world class golf but will enjoy breathtaking views of Puerto Vallarta, the Marina and Banderas Bay as well. Grassy hillsides, provide the perfect setting for this world class course by golf’s greatest player.

The second course

on the property is a signature design by Tom Weiskopf, which opened November 1, 2001. The Weiskopf Course provides Vista Vallarta with a dramatic contrast from its first course. Built on the property’s lower west end, golfers won’t believe they have simply taken a different turn from the clubhouse because the terrain includes dense jungles, deep ravines and swift creeks.

Mr. Weiskopf has done a masterful job of blending the elevations and natural features into an incredibly playable experience, from the first tee to the green of the “driveable” 18th.

Weiskopf Course: The 6,976- yard, par 72 hole, is a Signature Course built on extreme terrain and provides a dramatic contrast from its first course.

# 3 EL TIGRE GOLF COURSE

The memorable experience begins upon arrival at the Club, as golfers pass through an impressive stone archway resembling a Mayan temple. Further in, the 45,000 sq. ft. clubhouse offering spectacular views in all directions. Impeccable and surrounded by beautiful natural wonders,

Named among the most challenging and open its doors in 2002 to offer its visitors one of this game’s most exhilarating experiences. After passing under the stone portico and admiring the impressive Bengal tigers housed in a secure habitat enclosure, you will delight in practicing your swing at this enchanting course.

El Tigre was designed by Texan Robert von Hagge and is comprised of 18 holes, par 72 with 144 sand traps distributed over 7,329 yards of Bermuda 419-covered terrain. It is a course that also includes nine artificial lakes, challenging for even the most experienced of golfers. The par-three sixth hole is a marvelous treat, as it is comprised of a green inside a Scottish pot bunker on an island, a true challenge.
